HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SHOOT
-Be ready physically and mentally. Prepare yourself, and
be happy with the way you look before scheduling a shoot.
Hit the gym if you need to. Get a hair cut if necessary. Self-
doubt and lack of confidence will eat you up.
-Be able to take direction and be focused. I will guide you,
but you must be open to coaching.
-Be on time but not early.
-Get plenty of rest. I can't stress this enough.
-Eat. This is not the time to starve yourself. Have a good
breakfast and bring a snack to boost your energy.
-Iron and dry-clean your outfits as necessary. Leave items
that could wrinkle on the hangers and in a clothing bag.
-Feel free to bring your iPOD (with song lists). Fast-paced,
more energetic music works the best, since this will get
you moving and keep you in a good mood.
-Avoid Distractions. I need your full attention and we won't
work well with distractions. I prefer you coming to the session
alone but if you must bring someone, please limit it to one. If
you are under 18, you must come with a legal guardian (please
limit it to one only).
-Don't try out a new hairstylist or get a facial at a new spa
right before the session. You might not like the hairstyle, or you
might have an allergic reaction. Also, avoid extreme tanning.
-If you wear glasses, be prepared to remove the lenses prior
to the photo session to avoid reflections.
-Pencil thin brows just don't work. Avoid severely arching them;
you will have an-angry expression. Keep your brows well
groomed and natural.
-For women. If you get bloated before your period, schedule the
shoot way before or after your period. If there is no way around
that, diuretics might help with eliminating the water gain.
-For men. You can come in with scruff to do a look and shave
it for later looks. Bring your razor.
